Catherine Gale


An accredited Mediator and Family Dispute Resolution practitioner, Catherine has almost 40 years experience helping clients reach mutually acceptable solutions in Family Law matters.

Catherine has been a leader in the development of Collaborative Family Law in Australia. She is actively involved in training lawyers in the collaborative family law process and also lectures in Collaborative Law at Monash University. – View Catherine’s profile and professional qualifications.

Experience gained over many years working in this field reveals how difficult divorce and separation can be from emotional, financial and legal perspectives. Catherine is committed to guiding clients through the process in the most amicable way possible, while still achieving a legally binding outcome for them.

Catherine takes the time to understand her clients’ concerns and wishes and then helps them reach a positive outcome without necessarily having to pay the emotional and financial price of a protracted court battle.

Ben Freeman

Ben Freeman - Resolve Conflict Family Lawyers

Ben is an Associate Lawyer with Resolve Conflict. He has an LLB, Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting major) and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.

Ben has a strong passion for family law having studied it while completing both his Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. He has also volunteered with a family law focused Community Legal Centre and undertaken placements at the Family Court.

Ben’s commerce and accounting background assists him in understanding complex financial matters associated with property settlements in order to reach the best results for his clients.

Outside of the law, Ben is passionate about fitness and sport and is an enormous Hawks supporter.


Cassandra Rush

Cassandra Rush - Resolve Conflict Family Lawyers

Cassandra is an Associate Lawyer at Resolve Conflict. Cassandra graduated from La Trobe University in 2016 and holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts. Cassandra then went on to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Leo Cussen Centre for Law.

Cassandra works alongside our senior lawyers in the areas of divorce and separation, property settlements and children’s matters. She is experienced in liaising with clients, researching family law issues and drafting court documents.

Cassandra previously gained experience in the legal processes working as a Legal Assistant for a boutique law firm in Geelong and later as a Paralegal in Melbourne. Cassandra volunteered at the Barwon Community Legal Centre during her tertiary studies and it is through these experiences that Cassandra developed a strong passion for Family Law.

In her spare time, Cassandra enjoys keeping active, travelling, reading and spending time with her daughter.




Alyson Gale


Alyson joined the firm in 2010 and is a versatile member of our team. Starting in our accounts department whilst also providing general administrative assistance to our legal team. Alyson is a graduate of the University of Ballarat and in 2016 graduated from Masters of Law (Juris Doctor) at Monash University.

Since achieving her Masters of Law Alyson has worked as a Graduate Lawyer and Mediator assisting family law clients to reach sensible solutions.




Adrian Dean

Adrian Dean - Resolve Conflict Family Lawyers

Adrian is an Associate Lawyer at Resolve Conflict. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), a Bachelor of Arts (Acting) and a Master of Business Administration. Adrian graduated in the top 2% of his law degree.

Prior to joining Resolve Conflict, Adrian completed his Supervised Legal Training at a leading regional law firm, where he had previously worked as a paralegal in its family law department.

Adrian worked as an actor before coming to the law – performing in large scale theatre and television productions.

His strong communication skills and commercial background assist Adrian in helping family law clients to reach practical outcomes.




Laura Scott

Laura Scott - Resolve Conflict Family Lawyers

Laura is a Graduate Lawyer at Resolve Conflict. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics). Laura then went on to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from College of Law.

Prior to joining Resolve Conflict, Laura gained experience at a boutique family law firm in St Kilda where she worked as a paralegal.

Laura’s focus is on achieving the best results for clients, in a practical and understanding manner during what can be a very difficult time.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys travelling, hiking and outdoor activities and cooking for her friends and family.




Sebastian Tottle

Sebastian is a Graduate Lawyer at Resolve Conflict. Sebastian Completed his Bachelor of Law (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) at the Australian National University.

Sebastian is currently undertaking his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.

Originally from Western Australia, Sebastian has made the correct choice moving to Melbourne to pursue a career in family law. Sebastian has a diverse work background with experience in media, marketing and commercial workplaces.

Outside of work, Sebastian is a keen musician, photographer and squash player.
