Catherine Gale

Principal

An accredited Mediator and Family Dispute Resolution practitioner, Catherine has almost 40 years experience helping clients reach mutually acceptable solutions in Family Law matters.

Catherine has been a leader in the development of Collaborative Family Law in Australia. She is actively involved in training lawyers in the collaborative family law process and also lectures in Collaborative Law at Monash University. – View Catherine’s profile and professional qualifications.

Experience gained over many years working in this field reveals how difficult divorce and separation can be from emotional, financial and legal perspectives. Catherine is committed to guiding clients through the process in the most amicable way possible, while still achieving a legally binding outcome for them.

Catherine takes the time to understand her clients’ concerns and wishes and then helps them reach a positive outcome without necessarily having to pay the emotional and financial price of a protracted court battle.

Simon Clinch

SimonSimon was admitted to practice as a lawyer in 2011.

His interest and focus over the last 6 years has been to develop skill and expertise in Family Law and he has become a dedicated and experienced practitioner.

In 2017 Simon intends to complete his accreditation as a Specialist Family Lawyer.

Since his admission to practice, Simon has acted for a diverse range of clients and  appreciates   that family separation and relationship breakdown is a very difficult time for a client. His practical and common sense approach supports and guides clients through their Family Law process. Simon understands each client is different and prides himself on achieving the best possible outcome to meet his client’s needs.

Simon holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from La Trobe University. In addition to his Family Law experience, Simon has also gained experience in criminal, property and bankruptcy matters, and in particular in relation to family violence matters and AVO’s.

Simon is a member of the Family Law Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.

In his spare time, Simon volunteers at the St Kilda Community Legal Service and is involved in numerous sporting activities.

Briony Robertson

Since joining the firm in 2013 as a qualified Family Lawyer, Briony has been able to apply her training in psychological science, together with her legal skills, to achieving the resolution her clients seek in family law matters. Briony graduated from La Trobe University with both a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Psychological Science degree.

Charlotte Monaghan

Charlotte Monaghan is a Family Lawyer who joined Resolve Conflict in July 2015 as a paralegal. She has always been interested in family law and is committed to understanding her client’s needs and assisting them towards a resolution in the most amicable way possible.

Charlotte graduated from La Trobe University with both a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts and completed her practical legal training at Leo Cussen Centre for Law. Charlotte is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and Victorian Women Lawyers and is on the committee of the Junior Family Lawyers section of the Law Institute of Victoria.

Alyson joined the firm in 2010 and is a versitile member of our team working in our accounts department along with providing general administrative assistance to the legal team. She is a graduate of the Universty of Ballarat and is currently studying her Masters of Law (Juris Doctor) at Monash University.
