Admitted to practice in the State of Victoria and the High Court of Australia in 2008, Deborah brings over 16 years of Family Law experience to Resolve Conflict Family Lawyers. Deborah has dedicated her career to assisting clients to navigate complex property and parenting matters to achieve great outcomes, within top-tier family law firms in Melbourne. She has a strong preference to keep clients out of court but, where it is in her client’s interests, she is a tenacious and seasoned litigator. Clients appreciate Deborah’s compassion and strategic approach and commitment to finding a solution that fits their priorities.
With a special interest in international family law, Deborah excels in cases involving cross-border child movement disputes and multi-jurisdictional asset issues. Notable achievements include successful judgments in Nejem & Nejem [2019] FamCA 113 and Lanka & Dev [2020] FamCA 910, which underscore Deborah's expertise in international disputes.
Deborah has contributed to the industry through writing and presenting papers on Family Law matters to accountants, school principals and for police training purposes.
Interests
Deborah comes from a prominent wagyu cattle farming family in Queensland. Outside of work, she likes to ‘go bush’: hiking, fishing and playing guitar by a campfire. In 2022 she travelled around Australia in a caravan for twelve months with her husband and three children.
